Grateful dead steal your face series#
In that spirit, we have 5 new designs for our series of concert ukes that we believe you will love, beautifully presented on carefully chosen sitka spruce tops to not only look great, but offer a spectacular playing experience as well. From the early minimalist logos of Owesley Stanley, like the Steal Your Face logo and Dancing Bears, to the detailed conceptual story-telling of Tim Truman and Tim McDonagh, the Grateful Dead artwork never crystalized, but was in a perpetual state of imaginative transformation which continues to this day. One of the truly fascinating aspects of the Grateful Dead is how much they evolved over the years, both sonically and visually. This year we are honored to have the opportunity to work with the Grateful Dead’s imagery once again, and we are thrilled to be expanding the sonic spectrum of Grateful Dead instruments with newly designed concert ukuleles. In 2018 our first series of concert ukuleles featuring the Grateful Dead’s iconic imagery were released to great acclaim. The artwork of the Grateful Dead stands among the most recognizable and celebrated in the entire history of modern music, as cherished by fans and as characterful and varied as the music itself.
